What’s new in iOS 9.2 features

Apple finally released iOS 9.2 and ready to download to your devices including the new iPad Pro and iPhone 6S Plus. Here are all the key features you have to know.

iOS 9.2 has been available as a beta for a while but it’s now available to download for everyone, for free.

How to download iOS 9.2?

To get iOS 9.2 on your iOS device. When you’ve got your compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, directly go to Settings > General > Software Update and the update should pop up. Click install and it will download and launch on the device when it’s done.

It’s just under 250MB so it won’t take a long time to get up and running on your iOS device.

Apple Music

iOS 9.2 brings a whole load of UI tweaks to the app. Playlists ordered by recent changes and it has a really handy ‘Download’ button to save songs for offline playback.

Songs saved for offline playback are indicated now, while the classical music selection updated with specific sections for works, composers and performers.

iBooks

Now in iOS 9.2 you can ‘Peek’ and ‘Pop’ into pages from the contents, notes and bookmarks and press down hard on a word to search for the definition. Also you can listen to an audiobook, while you’re reading. Quite fun, right?

Fixes to iPad Pro

After releasing the iPad Pro, some people complained about their devices who become unresponsive. But in iOS 9.2 apple should put this problem to rest, once and for all.

Mail Drop

In iOS 9.2 mail drop feature lets you send files up to 5GB in size, through iCloud Drive, directly inside the Mail app.
Support for the USB Camera Adapter

Apple also introducing a USB adapter that let you plug in your camera and transfer across snaps. iOS 9.2 adds full support for this accessory. But this accessory is not supported by the iPod Touch.
